Description

The whole solar system, sitting on your desk. Open the wooden box and the planets lie in a bed of black foam under a lid printed with a night sky and every planet's name. Lift one out, roll it in your palm, find its name on the lid, and put it back in its place.

The planets are colourful crystal stones, each with its own colour and pattern, so Jupiter looks nothing like Neptune. The box closes with a brass clasp when the lesson is over, and it looks good on a shelf, a desk or a classroom table.

  • Wooden box with a hinged lid and brass clasp
  • Star-chart lid with the planet names
  • Foam bed with a place for each planet
  • Colourful crystal planet stones, all different

Contains small stones. Keep away from children under 3.

Try it right here

The nine planets are mixed up. Tap them one by one, starting with the one closest to the Sun, and read what makes each one special. This game is a picture of the idea, not the stones from the box.

    Good to know

Is it a scientific scale model?

No. It is a decorative and educational model: the stones come in different colours, sizes and patterns, and the planets are not to scale.

Why is Pluto in the box?

The lid lists nine planets, including Pluto. Since 2006 astronomers call Pluto a dwarf planet, and the game on this page has a fun fact about it.

    Can children play with it?

Yes, together with an adult. The stones are small, so keep them away from children under 3.

    When should I order?

Order early, especially for gifts and holidays. Delivery times differ by country, and the estimate for yours is shown at checkout.
